All About GUJCET 2020 (Postponed & New Exam Date Out)

GUJCET 2020, which is scheduled to be conducted on July 30, 2020, has been postponed. GSEB has released the new exam date, and the entrance exam will now take place on August 22, 2020.

Gujrat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) is a state-level entrance examination which is conducted by the Gujarat Secondary Education Board (GSEB). GUJCET is conducted by the GSEB every year for those students who are 10+2 qualified from a recognised Board and are looking to get admission into Diploma/Degree programmes in Engineering & Technology and Pharmacy courses offered by the Government, Autonomous, Government-in-Aid and Self-Financing Institutes in the Gujarat stateO.

A state-level entrance exam, GUJCET is conducted in offline mode where the questions are in an objective format. The application process for GUJCET is an online process which normally goes live in the month of March every year. The online application request of only those applicants will be accepted who will qualify the GUJCET eligibility criteria laid down by the exam conducting body.

The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) is responsible for smooth conduct of the GUJCET counselling and seat allotment process. The merit list, which will dictate the counselling and seat allotment process will be prepared, keeping in mind, the performance of the candidates in their Board examination and GUJCET exam both. 60% weighatge will be given to the candidates’ Board exam percentage and 40% weightage will be given to their GUJCET percentage score to prepare the merit list.

Once the counselling process for GUJCET is successfully conducted, the candidates will be allocated seats in various GUJCET participating colleges offering Pharmacy, Engineering & Technology Degree or Diploma programmes.
